Eventide

Eventide is where the brilliantly detailed mechanics of Vintage Story meet a system built around the concept of joint space development. The creation and fight against Rust push and maintain the borders of civilisation. This makes space not something given, but a collective achievement.

Every clay pot fired, every pickaxe forged, every pie baked and every drifter fought counts. Everyone's doings help everyone else.

What We're Building

The world of Eventide is not static. It breathes — expanding where players cooperate, contracting where they don't. In Vintage Story, that looks like this:

Four world states Rust, Freed, Settlement, and Personal — each unlocking more freedom to build, claim, and interact with the world
The Breathing World Cooperation pushes the Rust back and expands accessible territory. Civilization Points drop to zero — and it creeps back in
Civilization Points Every constructive action earns CP. Higher levels protect territory and unlock deeper possibilities — but no one gets there alone
The Main City A shared permanent safe zone where players can rest and restock
A curated mod bundle Hand-picked additions for immersion, world generation, and visuals — already built, already tested, ready to play
why vintage story?

Vintage Story is a wilderness survival game where the world itself is the achievement. Deeply detailed mechanics — geology, archaeology, metallurgy, agriculture — make every action feel grounded and every discovery earned. It's one of the rare games where you want to stay just to exist in it.

It also has a passionate community and more modding documentation than we could ever need — which makes it the natural foundation for the MMO mechanics we're building on top of it.

We're still early in development. And with an MMO, that's exactly when players matter most — not just as testers, but as the other side of the table. Join our Discord to follow the project and discuss everything you want about it openly.

// who we are

The Team

We've been playing MMOs since the genre's early days. And somewhere along the way, games stopped asking you to actually need other people. Eventide is our attempt to fix that.

We're not a studio. Just a few people who've played enough MMOs to know what's been missing. We have modern tools, a vision, and a genuine desire to build this out in the open.

Atron
Founder & Lead Game Designer

A veteran MMO player and the founder of MMOzg, an independent professional publication dedicated to MMOs.

Xornet
Lead Developer

A longtime MMO player and self-hosting enthusiast with experience running dedicated servers, configuring mods, and tuning gameplay systems.

Co-founder & Creative Lead

Spent years playing MMOs solo before figuring out that was the wrong way. Now building Eventide, writing a book, and taking an extended break from Product Management.
